Paul Lorick ’15 runs with the ball during the Friday night game against St. Paul’s last year. JC played all their home conference games under the lights last season and will play in the first night game on senior night against Boys Latin.

Varsity football has scheduled two football games to be played at 7 p.m. under the lights.

The first night game is Senior Game on Friday Oct. 17 against Boys’ Latin. The second game is the Homecoming Game which will be played Friday Oct. 24 against Severn.

“I asked all the seniors if they wanted our last two games to be under the lights,” head coach Keith Rawlings said. “The team said yes, so I made it happen.”

“I’m very excited for the night games,” senior and varsity lineman Ryan Sheehan said. “There’s something special about Friday nights that bring out the best in football. I’m looking forward to the games as they are the last two we get to play on our home field in front of the school community.”

Senior and varsity lineman Sean Nastalski likes having night games as well.

“I think it’s awesome for the team to bring the games back to how they used to be. I remember freshman year, I kept dreaming how it would be my turn to play my Senior Night under the lights,” Nastalski said.

Nastalski believes the fans enjoy night games more. “More people definitely come out for the home games. I definitely think it will pump up the team since the setting really energizes the team,” Nastalski said.

“It’s really exciting and I know the team is going to come out firing,” Sheehan said. “We’re going to put on a show, so get ready.”
