Here it is, your weekly dose of Hilary Weidner and Elizabeth Tauber commentary on Survivor Nicaragua.
It is the third week on Survivor and Naonka’s temper is getting the best of her. The state of affairs in Espada are not going so well, proving that alliances are starting to break and form in both tribes.
Espada (Older Tribe) Before Challenge
Jimmy T is very proud of Marty for telling the entire team that he found the immunity idol, which won the team a few integrity points. To be honest, the only reason he did this was so that he could appear to be an honest guy, gaining everybody’s trust.
H: This is a mind game as well as a survivor game, people. You all need to wake up.
E: Survivor is as much mental as it is physical, so showing your tribe that you trust them is a smart move on Marty’s part.
La Flor (Younger Tribe) Before Challenge
Fabio is stupid but valuable because every time we see him, we laugh. However, cue Naonka and her sassy self is about fed up with him.
H: You know what? I am really fed up with you, Naonka.
E: Is Naonka really a school gym teacher? Who in their right mind would hire her?
Challenge
The object of the challenge is to roll barrels onto platforms and then toss sand bags on top of all ten of the barrels. La Flor decides not to use the power medallion. It was a nail biting challenge, but La Flor wins.
Espada After the Challenge
It looks like Marty wants Jimmy Johnson gone. Is it jealousy? He thinks that Johnson is strategizing against them. Johnson is more concerned about finding a place to sit down than being voted off. Johnson gets all the food and if he is gone, they all will starve. Tyrone has the right mind set – to get rid of the weakest player. Mentally and spiritually, Johnson helps motivate the team, so it’s clear that we should not vote him off.
H: I’m not on Survivor, but actually surviving seems pretty important to me.
E: Who else in the tribe has gotten food for them? Who else ties the team together? No one. How do you expect to win a challenge without a leader and food?
La Flor after Challenge
Kelly B and Naonka see a clue for the hidden immunity idol in the hidden fruit basket. As soon as they get back to camp, Naonka went after the clue for the immunity idol like she was on fire.
H: It’s settled. Everyone officially believes you are legally insane.
E: It is not even the actual idol, it’s a clue. You have to be smart to interpret the clue.
Tribal Council
Jimmy T is complaining about not getting enough playtime. What are we playing, football or Survivor? Marty and Jimmy T need to be voted out because they are the biggest threats. Can we just have a double elimination?
H: They are all going to die because they voted Jimmy Johnson off. Good luck starving to death with Marty as your leader.
E: They voted off the leader of their tribe, the only man who was smart enough to get them food. Good luck, guys.
