A venue packed full of screaming teenagers.
This was the sight at Ramshead Live! on Friday October 1st where Jason Derulo performed live.
For all people who listen to popular hip hop music this was a must see concert. 104.3 Baltimore’s Mix Station put on the event and did a great job with it.
The place was filled with die hard Derulo fans. There was only standing room available on the main floor and two levels of balconies.
The tickets at $35 were reasonable, especially for general admission. As the concert date came sooner the ticket price dropped to $25.
Opening for Derulo was Trinity, a group of Australian girls, who were entertaining and great dancers. As far as their music goes, they sounded fine but all of the songs were similar. They didn’t hold the Derulo fans over for long.
Everyone wanted Jason Derulo right then and there.
After a short break came singer Auburn. She sang her signature song “La, La, La,” and won everyone’s hearts with her sweet personality and incredible talent to perform live.
Auburn didn’t dance as much as the group before her but her singing made up for it. The crowd even enjoyed the songs they didn’t recognize.
When Jason Derulo made his entrance the crowd went wild.
He started with a light show and got right into his act. He sang all three of his biggest songs, “In my Head,” “Watcha Say” and “Ridin’ Solo.”
The crowd was especially excited to hear these songs that have been drilled into their heads through popular radio stations for months. Derulo fans, like myself, can relate to his songs about relationships and break ups.
To go along with his singing, he had choreographed dances for the entire concert with great back up dancers.
Once he sang all of his newer songs, Derulo surprised the audience with his own rendition of “Billie Jean” by Michael Jackson.
The most surprising part of the whole performance was when he chose a random fan out of the audience to help him sing one of his new songs. Not only did he sing to her, they danced for the duration of the song.
Another crowd pleasing moment was when he ripped off his sweat drenched shirt and threw it into the mass of people. Girls fought over the torn wife beater leaving each of them with just small pieces.
Auburn and Jason Derulo, along with their opening act, put on an amazing performance.
This concert was well worth the money spent and the sore feet acquired from standing up and jumping the entire time.
