Week six on Survivor: Nicaragua has some twists. Just one week after changing up the tribes, tonight is a double tribal council night where both tribes will go to tribal council and two people will be leaving.
Espada before reward challenge
Danny thinks that he is done with the show. Luckily, Holly talks him through it and tells him that quitting is just the easy way out.
Elizabeth: Is this season worse than all of the others? Because a lot of people have considered giving up and leaving.
Hilary: Well I guess he didn’t realize what he signed up for, even though this is the billionth season.
La Flor before reward challenge
Brenda concocts a brilliant plan for three people on the tribe to vote for Marty and three for Kelly B and then have them battle it out. This just proves how much of a threat Brenda is. She’s smart, and she does really well at reward challenges, but she is also controlling the game, so she isn’t an easy target because she knows everything going on in the tribe.
Reward challenge and challenge
The challenge this week is for individual immunity. The contestants have to search for rings in the sand with a paddle and then fling them back into a basket that is attached to their back. Holly wins it for Espada and Jill wins it for La Flor. The two winners then square off and toss three rings onto a board. Whoever gets their three rings on the board first wins a feast for their tribe. Jill wins this challenge and therefore La Flor gets to feast while they watch Espada in tribal council. However, La Flor will still have to go to tribal council, but they will not have Espada listening in.
Tribal Council
Marty is telling Fabio that he’s a grandmaster at chess, which is a complete lie, but Fabio believes it all because he’s about as smart as a rock. Marty is oblivious to the fact that he is being outplayed and outwitted by Survivor’s grandmaster, Brenda, who is still scheming to get rid of Marty and force him to play his immunity idol. In the end, there was a tie at tribal council but Marty managed to hang onto his idol for another day and Kelly B. was voted off and her torch sadly extinguished.
Elizabeth: Marty, why would you risk going home with your ticket of safety in your pocket? And Kelly B. was the one person who I actually liked on that tribe, but I guess the tribe feels differently.
Hilary: Kelly B was so nice and was not a threat to anyone in the tribe. I don’t understand why she was voted off. Vote Marty off!
Now La Flor gets to enjoy a feast while watching Espada debate who to vote off…. It’s like dinner a show! It was interesting to watch La Flor chow down on food while Yve was struggling to save herself from getting the ax (or torch extinguisher) and the rest of the Espada tribe was drooling over LaFlor. In the end, Yve was the second Survivor casualty of the night. Yes, they decided to keep the man with the Ferrari and Range Rover who cannot walk over her.
Elizabeth: I was never a fan of Yve. I’m glad she’s gone. She needed something to tone down that ego.
Hilary: Wow that had to be quite a shock to her tribal ego.
