This week on” Survivor: Nicaragua,” there was no reward or immunity challenge, and no one went to Tribal Council. But to make up for this week’s lack of elimination, next week will be a double elimination.
So what happened this week?
This week’s “Survivor” episode is a recap of what has happened in the season so far. It provides a closer look at what has been going on “behind the scenes.”
Let’s start at the very beginning.
Espada is the older tribe and La Flor is the younger tribe. At Espada, the older contestants are making shelter, and the men are already getting irritated with each other and trying to take the leading position. The ladies, however, weave together and get along well.
At La Flor, the younger tribe chills in the ocean and talkto each other, and while everyone mingles together, NaOnka stays to herself.
NaOnka, of course, wishes that she was over at Espada with the older group because she feels that she is with a bunch of young idiots.
Fabio is hilarious. We already knew this, but we haven’t seen how clumsy he really is, until tonight. NaOnka says that Fabio needs a bubble around him to protect himself or to protect everything else from him.
After the Espada men vote off Jimmy T, they need a new leader. Cue Marty.
“You can’t be cocky or overconfident in this game,” Marty said. Maybe he should take his own advice. I cannot say how happy I am that he is gone.
Jane enters the game prepared, learning how to fish and make fire before the show began. She even sat in a sauna each day to prepare for the Nicaraguan heat.
Jane catches a fish, makes her own fire away from camp, and eats the fish without saying a word to anyone. With these skills, Jane has a real advantage, as she is able to stay strong and win those immunity challenges.
When NaOnka steals the flour and food from her tribe, she confides in Holly. Holly asks NaOnka why she told her, and NaOnka replies, “Because I love you.”
NaOnka sees Holly as a motherly figure, and Holly, having children of her own, is able to advise NaOnka. Holly’s advice was to come clean and tell the truth.
In my opinion, NaOnka is trying to suck up to Holly because Holly does not know about her history of lying, cheating and being a jerk.
When Chase starts singing about his dad who passed away, Brenda sees this as a weakness and says that Chase is too emotional to play the game. That makes sense, considering that Brenda is now gone and Chase is still there.
Maybe emotion is a good thing, Brenda.
