Seven contestants remain on “Survivor: Nicaragua.” Last week, two contestants quit because they just couldn’t handle it anymore.
After Tribal
Sash’s world has fallen apart now that his allies, Kelly and NaOnka are gone. Sash struggles to fit himself into another alliance, telling both alliances that he is now the swing vote, so whoever he sides with will be stronger. He tells them he will side with whoever gives him the best offer.
Chase tells Sash that if he wins the reward challenge, he will take Sash and Holly with him since they have been without food for the longest. But is Chase really reliable?
On a side note, the tribe decides to name its chicken “KellyNay,” after Kelly and NaOnka, the girls who chickened out of “Survivor.”
E: I thought it was pretty clever. Although, I feel like “PurpleOnka” sounds way cooler.
H: I don’t like Sash. He is like a little weasel that I just want to whack. And “KellyNay” as the chicken’s name was perfect.
Reward Challenge
For reward, there are three rounds. The first consists of swimming/crawling through a mud obstacle and finding a ball in a haystack. The contestants need to bounce the ball off of a shield and into a barrel. Chase, Jane, Benry and Holly advance to round two. Round two involves maneuvering a key off of a spiral with a stick, unlocking a treasure chest with the key, obtaining the four sandbags in the chest, and landing them on a barrel. Chase and Benry advance to round three where they will need to dig up three rope rings with a paddle, and then land the rings on hooks. Chase wins the reward challenge. Does he stick to his promise and take Sash with him? Of course not.
Chase takes Holly and Jane with him, and soon realizes his mistake of taking Jane. For reward, they get to go to a private resort, take showers, have a meal in a tiki hut, and then get a massage.
E: Even though it was a dumb move and Sash regrets it, I’m so happy that he took Jane because she is looking horribly skinny and quite gross.
H: Jane was so excited to go on the reward! She is so cute! To be honest I hope she wins the show, she deserves it.
Back at Camp
Sash is back at camp trying to make his alliance with the other guys, and for some reason, he forgets how to talk and suddenly starts stuttering.
The half of the tribe stuck at camp decides to kill and eat the chicken. Well, this just doesn’t fly with Jane. She had plans on taking the chicken into the woods and hiding it with her. She cried when she returned to camp and found her beloved chicken was no longer there. She made it a memorial and prayed and cried. Jane is so sweet, but also a little crazy.
Immunity Challenge
Immunity was another one of those challenges like the reward challenge with stages designed so that each person has a chance of winning. But then someone gets crushed when they don’t proceed to the next round. Have you ever heard of comebacks, people? Audiences love watching comebacks, but the producers make this rather impossible for this challenge. It comes down to Sash, Benry and Fabio racing to complete a puzzle. The winner? Sash.
E: How does this happen?! Was this rigged or something? Oh, and did we mention that he also has the hidden immunity idol? This is just outrageous.
H: Sash winning immunity is awfully staged. I don’t like Sash.
Back at Camp
Sash is feeling rather good about himself, already talking about the final tribal council. “I can’t wait for that final tribal council when I win that million dollars.” He also brags about how at challenges he has only been giving 70% while the other guys have been giving 110%.
Sash says that Benry and Chase are on the chopping block. “I’m going to keep them guessing until I feel like telling them, or not telling them”
E: Wow. Way to be a jerk. These guys trust you and now that you have power you treat them like garbage. What a team player.
H: Sash needs to go, honestly. Just be happy that luck went your way and you won the immunity challenge, Sash.
Sash tells Jane that he would never stab his “second mom” in the back.
E: Don’t trust him Jane! He’s a lying bully! Oh, and I find it rather entertaining that Sash’s stuttering issue has been miraculously cured by what seems to be the immunity idol. Interesting.
H: I really would never trust Sash, and I hope Jane doesn’t trust him either.
Tribal Council
The jury walks in, including the two quitters.
E: I just want to whack that huge smile right off of NaOnka’s face. She doesn’t deserve to even be there.
H: NaOnka comes into tribal council like she owns the place. Too bad she’s a quitter.
Benry feels confident the vote will swing in his favor. But unfortunately for him, it doesn’t. He gets blindsided and sent home.
And then there were six.
