Ice cream date ends with a cherry on top

The outside of Broom’s Bloom Dairy looks out on an extensive farm. Brooms Broom is located at 1700 S Fountain Green Rd, Bel Air, MD 21015.

My date and I got out of the car and were hit by the chilled air and the sight of a picturesque farm complete with silos, tractors, and barns.

There were rocking chairs and benches with tables outside, but we decided to stay in the building because of the cold fall weather.

After we hurried inside, I was instantly taken aback by the amount of options I had at Broom’s Bloom Dairy. Initially, I had thought that I would order a small vanilla ice cream, but even this small notion was challenged by the multitude of options that were placed in front of me. We found our place in line behind an older couple, the only other customers.

Upon ordering, I finally decided to get a small chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream with a bowl of Maryland crab soup. The soup came out hot enough to please papa bear and burned the roof of my mouth, but it was delicious. The ice cream, which is described by Broom’s Bloom as being “so fresh that you can smell the manure.” easily made the list of the best ice cream I had ever tasted.

After we finished our food, there was nothing left to do, so we sat around for a little bit but decided that we should leave once we grew bored.

We were not disappointed with the location. The tables were interestingly decorated with objects between the table and glass cover, such as toy tractors and pictures of farms.

Broom’s Bloom is a fun place to go to grab a bite to eat if you are planning to go somewhere for food, but I do not suggest planning your whole afternoon around it because there isn’t much else to do. It is near Bel Air, and is easy to get to since it’s not far off of the beaten path.

Overall, I would say that it is a nice place to go, but don’t plan to be called the most romantic person ever for going here on a date. It’s just a place to eat.
