Out of nowhere, three dolphins fly through the air in unison, creating a spectacular sight. Sitting in the arena of the National Aquarium of Baltimore, watching the dolphins swim around and occasionally do tricks for their fishy treat is the perfect way to end the perfect date.
At first, people might be apprehensive to go to the National Aquarium because of the 40-minute drive and the $34.95 admission price, but it is well worth it.
Upon arriving, there was no line. My date and I paid for our tickets and walked right in. At first the place is so massive that it seems easy to get lost, but the extensive signage made it easy to find the exhibits of fish, the gift shop, and the optional shows.
The aquarium has the perfect date setting, with the dim lighting and the glowing of the fish tanks. Strolling through the aquarium and looking at all of the exotic fish were great experiences. They are interesting to look at, and it was fun to talk about which fish are weird or cool-looking. One of the fish even had no eyes, but it could still swim around with all the others.
Aside from the fish and dolphin exhibits, there was a tropical rainforest exhibit that contained beautiful birds. Trying to spot all of the birds and flowers shown in the pictures on the railings is a fun activity to do with your date.
The aquarium is a prime location in the heart of the Inner Harbor. After you’re done with your fun day at the aquarium, there are plenty of dinner options or just you can just stroll through the Inner Harbor, taking in the sights.
Overall, the aquarium is an ideal date spot because of its uniqueness. There is no better place for you and a date to have a fun time and see exotic fish.
