Marina and the Diamonds: Froot

Rating: 4.5/5

Marina and the Diamonds released her new album, “Froot,” on March 16. It successfully combines her trademark unique voice and intelligent lyrics with a new sound, a mixture of a retro beat and indie pop. It’s a bit of an acquired taste, but after listening to it multiple times I’ve achieved nirvana. “Froot” has something for everyone: something old (its retro beat), something new (its pop mixing), something borrowed (my heart), and something “Blue” (Track 4).
