Juice bar Turning Natural provides an opportunity for affordable vegan dining
October 12, 2020
As health and wellness rise, so have wellness and clean eating business and restaurants, such as Turning Natural. Turning Natural is a juice bar. There are many options from cold-pressed juices to smoothie bowls and vegetable patties.
The best thing about Turning Natural? It’s all vegan.
There are five different locations, all located in the Delmarva area I had the chance to visit the Turning Natural in Washington D.C., despite there being locations in Maryland. It was a very professional and welcoming environment. The facility was clean, and the staff was friendly and welcoming as well.
There is online ordering available on their website turningnatural.com in which they do deliver to certain areas.
The “Vegan Belgian Waffle” and the “Nipsey Blue Smoothie,” which is made with maca powder, mango, guava, pineapple, and blue spirulina, were ultimately satisfying and refreshing.
These food choices are good for satisfying a sweet tooth while being a healthier alternative. The waffle was flavorful and tasted very fresh.
Despite COVID-19, there are inside dining options, though they are very limited. Staff as well as customers practice social distancing and wear face masks. There is also outdoor seating available for customers.
While sitting outside, the scenery is just vibrant and beautiful with a large colorful mural of different colors and shapes covering the whole building, as well as many different succulents around the area as well.
The meal was very affordable. The large 20-ounce smoothie was $7.75, which can be comparable to a 20-ounce smoothie at Smoothie King which is $7.99, depending on the type of smoothie.
The Vegan Belgian Waffle was $5.95, which is an amazing price considering the generous amount of toppings and the size of the waffle.
The hours of Turning Natural are 9am-5pm on weekdays and 10-6pm on weekends.
Turning Natural is in a very vibrant community, filled with lots of people everywhere and other varieties of shops and stores around.
With over 10 smoothie flavors and juices, everything is made fresh from fruits and vegetables, unlike a franchise such as Smoothie King with dried and frozen fruits.
The fresh and natural taste speaks for itself.
