If there is one day of the year that is popular among Americans, it’s definitely Black Friday.
Black Friday is an annual event in the United States. It takes place on the Friday immediately following Thanksgiving Day. On Black Friday, stores open up early, and thousands of customers flock into these stores to buy anything they can because, on Black Friday, there are great deals.
Cyber Monday is very similar to Black Friday, except for one thing: it’s all online. Items on websites such as eBay or Amazon, as well as others, have great deals on items.
It’s an event that many Americans participate in every year. However, this year, things were very much different due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
When it came to Black Friday, there was one obvious issue: when stores open, people normally flock into stores in large groups, racing towards products.
Due to restrictions, only a certain number of shoppers were allowed to enter the stores at one time. This made it increasingly difficult to find what was needed in order to get all of the Christmas gifts on the list..
In 2020, Cyber Monday seemed like the better solution. This year, Cyber Monday was expected to be the biggest it’s ever been since its inception in 2005.
Why was Cyber Monday the better solution? It fits shoppers’ needs better by giving them time to browse stores full selections online. Shoppers did not have to worry about waiting in line or dealing with other stressed shoppers. People could simply get out their computers and shop for whatever was needed with one click.
Another option that was great for avoiding the Black Friday chaos was curbside pickup which has exploded in popularity since the pandemic began. One can simply pull up to the store, and someone brings out your order. It’s like having a personal shopper!
Many stores extended their deals to make Cyber Monday a full week through December 6.
This year, when you think about shopping, try a safer and more effective solution — not only to protect yourself, but to protect others.
