‘Black Widow’ is finally releasing after delays

Jackson Williams, Staff Writer

‘Black Widow” was set to release in early 2020, but delays due to COVID-19 changed the release date several times.

This film was originally set to release on May 2, 2020 but has now moved to July 9, 2021.
The film is set to follow an origin story for one of the original Avengers of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. After her heroic death in Avengers: End Game, many wondered whether we would ever get a true origin story for one of the most pivotal members of the storyline.
In previous films, her background remains untold. The audience has received small sample sizes of information about Black Widow/Natasha Romanoff’s back story — but not enough to know everything.
Many expect the film to cover her early years while being groomed as a super-soldier type of warrior as a KGB operative and her escape to New York where she goes on the run while also finding her true place.
Black Widow is set to release in theaters and directly to Disney+, Disney’s own streaming platform.
When Black Widow hits Disney+, it will cost $30 to watch. Some may opt to get the full movie theater experience to revert back to some sort of normalcy.
With a $200 million budget, Black Widow is set to far surpass that is normal for Marvel Studios films.
Black Widow is only the second Marvel Cinematic Universe film with the exception of the Disney+ television series, to release since Avengers: End Game became the highest-grossing film of all time.
The release of Black Widow this summer has Marvel Fans in a frenzy as they have been waiting for two years for a new film. Whether you choose to watch at home or get the full theater experience, Black Widow is sure to excite and satisfy fans and others alike.
