Zach Bryan has finally released his self-titled album to close the summertime. He is known mostly for his unique raspy voice, and his heartfelt lyrics.
He released Zach Bryan, his 16-song album about a month ago.
He opens his album with a poem he wrote himself called “Fear and Friday’s.” A heartfelt line from this poem is “I have learned that every waking moment is enough, and excess never leads to better things, it only piles up.” This line speaks to the listeners because he is trying to say that even though he has all these great accomplishments, he still has human emotions like the rest of us.
The most popular song on the album is “I Remember Everything” which features Kasey Musgraves. This song is about the memories that come after a breakup.
The two harmonize as a slow sad guitar is played in the background. The lyrics jerk tears for many of the listeners, showing that the publicity is well deserved.
One of the best songs on the album is “Hey Driver,” featuring Michael Trotter, Jr. from The War and Treaty. This song goes back and forth with Bryan’s lyrics on his life and Trotter’s soulful singing of the chorus. This song makes the listener feel good and gives a visual of a sweet summer night.
One of the album’s substandard songs is “Smaller Acts” because the lyrics are not as personal to some listeners. The song also has frog noises in the background which distract the listeners from the song.
This is Bryan’s second album that has caught the public eye, the first being American Heartbreak. His songs have hit the radio multiple times, causing his following to grow substantially.
This album has many features including The War and Treaty on “Hey Driver,” Sierra Ferrell guests on “Holy Roller,” Kacey Musgraves on “I Remember Everything,” and The Lumineers on “Spotless.”
This album can be heard on Spotify and Apple Music. It can also be listened to in-person on his Quitting Time Tour, from March 6 to December 14.
He is taking his tour all over the United States, including the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. on March 25, 2024.
