The Elf on the Shelf is a fun Christmas activity that has been bringing Christmas joy for over a decade. Th elf is a doll who includes multiple accessories, outfits, and stories.

The Elf on the Shelf is an activity that intrigues kids and gets them in the Christmas spirit. When one first gets the Elf on the Shelf, it includes a book and the elf. The story that comes with the elf is about a family who gets their own elf. This elf keeps an eye on the children in the house and reports their behavior back to Santa. One of the children slowly stops believing in Santa. This makes the elf lose his magic, and he has a hard time going back to the North Pole.

As someone who has had their own elf, it is an effective way to encourage children to have good behavior during the holiday season. It retails for around $30 depending on where you get it, which is a fair price because the elf will last for multiple years.
