This battle is between Panera Bread’s chili and Texas Roadhouse’s chili. These places have underrated chili that is a delicious option, especially in the cold winter season.
Taste:
Texas Roadhouse: Texas Roadhouse chili had a very spicy and strong taste. With the crunch of the onion and the chunks of turkey, it all complimented each other very well. I enjoyed this chili a lot.
Panera Bread: With Panera Bread chili, I didn’t like it as much. It was very thin, and there wasn’t a lot of meat. I feel like it was overloaded with beans, but if you like a less spicy chili, this one is a good option.
Price:
Texas Roadhouse: A Texas Red Chili cup from Texas Roadhouse is $3.99.
Panera Bread: Panera Bread’s chili in a cup is $6.09.
Accessibility:
Texas Roadhouse: Texas Roadhouse is hard to get to. There are not many around here as the closest ones to us are in Fallston and White Marsh. Also, it is a restaurant that most people don’t go to daily. I you don’t catch it at the right time, they have a long wait.
Panera Bread: Panera Bread is easy to get to, and there are so many locations locally, including the one right in Bel Air. It is a place that people like to go to many times a week, and it is easy to get in and out of.
Look:
Texas Roadhouse: Texas Roadhouse’s chili looked very chunky and dark red, like a maroon.
Panera Bread: Panera Bread’s chili looked like a mix of a lot of different things and had more color; it wasn’t too bright; the red was light. Overall, it lightened the dish and made it look more appealing.
Our WINNER is The Texas Red Chili from Texas Roadhouse. Overall, this was the cheaper option and tasted better. I love how this one didn’t have beans, but if you wanted beans, you could add them. The spice in this was perfect, and the turkey evened it out. The Panera Bread chili was expensive, and I simply didn’t enjoy it as much. If you are looking for a nice warm winter meal, you should go to Texas Roadhouse and try their Texas Red Chili.
