Sometimes it is difficult to come up with things to do with your loved one on or around Valentine’s Day. Here is a list of three different date ideas for you and your partner. Some are pricier than others, but really in the end, it is the thought that matters.
These don’t necessarily need to be for Valentine’s Day and could be modified for really any time of the year.
First, try baking a cake, cupcakes, or any kind of cute Valentine’s Day treat. A heart-shaped cake or even heart-shaped cookies would be festive for the day. You could go to the store and get all of the ingredients together and then when you get home you could work together to bake. Maybe instead of buying cake mix or already-made cookie dough, you could try finding a recipe online somewhere and make the treat completely from scratch.
When you’re at the store, you can also get other Valentine’s candies and have those along with the treat you make.
Second, you could have a picnic if the weather permits. If it happens to be a nice day, you could pick up your partner’s favorite food, then bring them somewhere pretty and enjoy the meal together. You can take out a blanket and decorate the area well. This will really show your partner that you care about them, and they will appreciate the effort.
Lastly, you could buy some canvases and paint. Painting is really fun sometimes. If you aren’t the best at painting, I’m sure it will still be fun to look at the canvases you make even if they do not turn out the best. You could paint your initials and some hearts or something using pink or red.
