“Pretty Little Liars” fans can breathe a sigh of relief as ABC Family announces its summer programming. With only two episodes left in the first season, the hit show will return for a second season on Tuesday, June 14 at 8 p.m.
According to tvguide.com, PLL is rated the number one network series of all time.
Other shows set for the summer schedule on ABC include “Switched at Birth,” a new comedy series starring Raven Symone, which will premiere on Monday, June 6 at 9 p.m. and “The Nine Lives of Chloe King,” starring Skyler Samuels, which will debut on Tuesday, June 14 at 9 p.m. after “Pretty Little Liars.”
Later summer premieres include the return of “Melissa and Joey” for its second season starring Melissa Joan Hart and Joey Lawrence on Wednesday, June 29 at 8 p.m. and another Raven Symone comedy, “The Great State of Georgia,” at 8:30 p.m.
On Monday, Aug. 15, ABC Family will adapt another book series from Sara Shepard, the author of “Pretty Little Liars.” “The Lying Game,” a drama series starring Alexandra Chandro, will premiere at 9 p.m.
As PLL wraps up its first season on March 21 at 8 p.m., fans are wondering how the show will leave off. “I’m so excited [for the second season] and I can’t wait to see what happens. The show is so suspenseful; you can’t help but want to see what happens” senior Kristen Flach said.
Though we will most likely not find out who “A” is or who killed Alison, stars of the show promise that PLL will go out with a bang.
“The season finale is going to blow everyone’s mind. A lot of questions you had throughout the season will get answered, but then you will have so many more questions. The unexpected will all occur in the last episode,” Shay Mitchell, who plays Emily on the show, said in an E! News Interview. Will Spencer be freed of police accusations? Can Aria and Ezra keep their relationship private? Is Hannah in for more heartbreak or can Caleb return to prove his true feelings? And how will Emily deal with the Paige situation?
Tune in for the last episode to find out!
