Orlando, Florida – A family is suing Walt Disney Parks and Resorts after their 4-year-old was burned by nacho cheese during a visit to Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom Park. The lawsuit, which was filed in California District Court, claims Isaiah Harris suffered second and third-degree burns as a result of “scalding hot” nacho cheese. The burns occurred when Harris spilled the nacho cheese on himself while eating in the park last March. “I think the parents, like the child, like any reasonable person, would have an expectation of food being served to children would be served at a reasonable temperature,” attorney for the family Sean Cahill said. Disney said in a statement that they are currently reviewing the alleged incident.

New York, New York – The New York City Health Department released a mobile app that finds free condoms throughout the city. The app finds the user’s location via GPS and then directs him or her to the nearest condom distribution venue. New York’s health department has distributed free condoms since 1971 and now has 3,000 outposts throughout the city where the condoms can be picked up. The outposts are situated near clubs, restaurants, and other social gathering spots. The health department previously published a list of distribution centers, but it hopes the new app will make getting free condoms easier. “What we’re doing is working to make New York City the safest city in the world to have sex,” Monica Sweeney from the NYC Health Department said.

Tokyo, Japan – After Japan’s cabinet office released its 2010 gross domestic product figures, Japan officially fell from the second largest to the third largest economy in the world. China took the number two spot, while the United States remained number one. Japan’s economy was valued at US $5.4742 trillion dollars while China was at US $5.8786 trillion. Japan has the world’s fastest aging population and one of the world’s lowest birth rates. Japan’s government predicts that China’s economy will become larger than the United States’ in 20 years.
