To raise money for their class, the freshmen held a bake sale on Wednesday, Oct. 19.
The baked goods for the sale were leftover desserts from Tuesday’s Freshman Dinner. Parent volunteers from the freshman class came into school on Wednesday to sell the baked goods in the main corridor.
Freshman Moderator Sandy Seiler had approached former Principal Paul Barker about the idea for the bake sale last year, and Principal Madelyn Ball about it this year. The money raised by the freshmen will benefit their junior and senior expenses.
“We are beginning to build their [the freshmen] account for their ring weekend and dance and prom, which are both very expensive,” Seiler said.
