According to ABC 2 News, as a 14-year-old boy walked to his Abingdon bus stop yesterday morning, he was approached by a dark van with no windows other than the window on the driver’s side. The driver pulled up alongside the boy and threatened that he would hurt him if the boy didn’t get in the van. The boy disregarded the threat and immediately ran home and called the police.
This morning, Principal Madelyn Ball warned students on the announcements to be on the lookout for anything suspicious. “I just think we should be alert,” Ball said. “We’re not too far from Abingdon.”
Ball advises students “If you see something unusual, you should report it right away.”
