The senior class will be holding a fundraiser at Looney’s Pub located on 312 S. Main Street in Bel Air on Tuesday, Nov. 22 in order to raise money for their prom.
The event will begin at 3:00 p.m. and end at 9:00 p.m. During that time, 10 percent of a customer’s bill will go to the senior class.
In order for the class to raise money by receiving credit from customers, students must show a flyer to their server at Looney’s. These flyers are located throughout the hallways, in the front office with School Secretary Susan Strawbridge, and in Senior Class Moderator Susan Greig’s office, which is located next to Dean of Students Sean Ireton’s office. Flyers will also be present at Looney’s for customers who want to donate to the senior class. Students can also see Senior Class President Maria Edwards about flyers.
According to Greig, the class has raised under $200 so far this year and could be looking at paying $100 for prom tickets if the fundraiser doesn’t go over well. The Variety Show, which has been moved to January, is another fundraiser that the class is depending on.
