The National Scholastic Press Association (NSPA) has awarded jcpatriot.com the ranking of All-American.  This is the highest ranking available and the highest ranking the online site has received since its launch in 2008.

In order to receive this rating, The Patriot had to score 3,400 points and receive at least four marks of distinction within the five categories of coverage and content, interactivity and community, breaking news, design and navigation, and rich media, with additional credit for student work and frequency of posting new stories.  The Patriot received a grand total of 3,800 points and four marks of distinction.
