Spokane, Washington – Police arrested a drug dealer accused of selling Rice Krispy treats baked with marijuana to high school students. Police said that 20 year-old Kruz Hawkins sold marijuana concealed in baked goods such as Rice Krispy treats, brownies, and cookies to Shadle Park High School students every day. A search executed on Hawkins’ home, owned by his father and in which the two live, revealed more baked goods and marijuana. Hawkins and his father Ricky both have licenses to use medical marijuana.

Vancouver, British Columbia – Bronze medalist Scott Lago voluntarily left the Vancouver Olympic Games after indecent pictures of him, his bronze medal, and a female fan surfaced on the internet. One of the pictures show Lago’s unnamed female fan kissing the medal while it hangs below Lago’s waistline. Lago apologized to the U.S. Olympic Committee and the U.S. Snowboarding Federation before leaving. The New Hampshire native won the bronze medal in his first Olympic games for his performance in the snowboard halfpipe event.

Washington, D.C. – After raising federal education spending by $4.35 billion, President Barack Obama and the Department of Education are allowing public high schools to compete for the chance to have President Obama attend their commencement ceremony. The winning school will present their idea to achieve the President’s goal of the U.S. having the largest proportion of college graduates in the world by 2020.
