This is the pro argument on JC advancing from tablet laptops to tablets/ipads. To view the con click here.
Just as record players and cassette tapes have gone out of date, laptops are soon to go out of style. Changing to tablets in place of PC’s would open new doors to new opportunities for students with better technology.
Traffic coming in and out of the tech lab would most likely decrease if tablets are used. Tablets are less prone to getting viruses and malfunctioning, which means the mini-heart attacks students get worrying if all of their work was deleted when their computer crashed has a lesser chance of occurring.
Students would not have the burden of lugging around a laptop. Tablets are portable, light weight, and smaller than the size of a text book.
The size of the tablet and its functions are a great advantage for students. Organization would be easier and more manageable with a tablet.
Tablets are multidimensional and most have the option of a stylus. For the students who love the use of the keyboard, most tablets are capable of a keyboard attachment.
In the race of time, students are running right alongside of technology. Technology is constantly advancing, and sooner or later every school will be using tablets. Tablets are bound to become more advanced and futuristic in shape, size, and ability. JC will have to adapt to the change and transition to tablets in order to benefit students.
