There’s going to be more than just “one less lonely girl.” If Bieber Fever continues to rage, there might even be one less sane man.
I really hate Justin Bieber. I don’t just hate him because it’s really popular to hate him. I always thought that he was a cocky, arrogant jerk who has gotten in way over his head.
For those of you who don’t know who this Justin Bieber is, he is an idiot. He tries to sing about deep topics that are far beyond him. He’s a lot like Scrappy Doo, trying to chase after a ghost that is three times his size.
Except, when Scrappy does it, it’s cute. When Bieber does it, it makes anybody above the age of 12 feel awkward. Despite this, the bigwigs in Hollywood have decided to give him a movie.
When I first saw the trailer, I laughed because it takes itself way too seriously. It has an epic drum beat, clips from Bieber’s past, and random quotes talking about how Bieber is such a “great musician.”
“They said he would never make it,” the trailer says. Um, who said that? I don’t think anyone doubted that he would make it because he made it pretty quickly. I highly doubt that he faced any challenges in his rise to stardom.
I love the quote in the trailer that says, “He is 16, and he’s doing it all on his own.” Now, come on, movie industry, how stupid do you think I am?
If it wasn’t for Usher and a bunch of corporations shoving Bieber down our throats, no one would really care about him. Bieber is only a musician with average talent. He is not a “Cinderella Story,” and he surely does not deserve his own movie.
For the record, Eddie Vedder, Anthony Kiedis, Kurt Cobain, and Bob Marley are all much more talented, and they have actually lived very interesting lives.
Even with all of those talented people, they still decided to give a movie to Justin Bieber. That’s like having to choose among the greatest martial artists in the world and saying “Jackie Chan, no thanks. Jet Li, I don’t think so. Steven Seagal, get on down here!”
The movie is scheduled to come out in February and I think that Bieber will be in his 16th minute of his allotted 15 minutes of fame by that time. If Bieber is still popular by that time, I will go see and review that movie. However, I really hope I’m wrong, because I don’t want to sit through an hour and a half of Bieber-fest.
