It can be universally agreed upon that 2020 was not the best year at all. Events were canceled, people were stuck home, and of course, the pandemic raged. But as we get ready to leave February of 2021, even with the pandemic still ongoing, there are many things to look forward to. Here are 21 things you can look to this year during the next ten months of 2021.

1. Vaccine: Vaccines for those of us in the high school age range are being tested now. Hopefully, that means they may be available for us this year.
2. The End of the School Year: While we’ve been taking measures to stay safe, an end of the school year will provide some more time for things to get back to normal.
3. Vacations: As long as we attempt to calm the pandemic over the next few months, we should be able to go more places than last summer.
4. New Movies: Many movies were delayed in 2020 but are coming out this year, giving families and friends something to do.
5. New Video Games: Similar to what was stated above, this gives friends and families something fun to do.
6. Christmas: Like previously mentioned, if the pandemic is taken control of by Christmas, we should have a fairly normal holiday.
7. New Year’s Eve: It will be nice to watch the festivities in Times Square on TV with people there.
8. Halloween: Real trick-or-treating!
9. Visiting Family: Something that wasn’t done too much in 2020 can be enjoyed a little more in 2021.
10. Graduation: While always highly-anticipated, this year it seems as if it is more anticipated.
11. Working: While it may seem odd, it’s nice to be around your coworkers and earn cash.
12. Seeing Friends: This is one you’ll be happy to do — maybe without masks and social distancing.
13. Restaurants: With more reopening, you’ll be able to enjoy a nice meal at your favorite location.
14. Going to the Sporting Events: With restrictions being lifted, you may get to see your favorite teams play in-person.
15. Theme Parks: More are reopening, and local ones will be opening soon.
16. Other Amusements: Many other things to enjoy will be reopening as well, so why not go to them?
17. College Acceptance Letters: This is always an exciting time for seniors, and a pandemic can’t stop the letters.
18. New Books: As mentioned with movies & video games, some of these will come out this year for your enjoyment.
19. Shopping More: With malls and other retail places opening up, why not head out to shop?
20. Snow: Yes, we’ve already had some, but there’s always room for some more.
21. Nice Weather: A pandemic cannot stop the weather, and spring will bring some nice weather that will be time for cookouts, games, and spending time outdoors with friends and family.
