Memorial prayer service, letters for Josh Hamer, Holocaust Remembrance Day, dogs, and the fashion show
Sophomore Annemarie Bonner writes a letter dedicated to sophomore Josh Hamer in front of his locker. After Hamer unexpectedly passed away, his friends, with the help from a few faculty members, turned his locker into a memorial to honor his memory.
During the week of March 6, a prayer service was held in remembrance of sophomore Josh Hamer on Monday, March 6. Sophomores Ryan Poholsky, Ayo Bodison, and Christian Smith also set up a memorial around his locker to honor Josh and give students the opportunity to write letters dedicated to him. Holocaust Remembrance Day took place on Thursday for juniors and seniors to listen to stories from Holocaust survivors. Caroline Angert, class of ’16, brought her dogs after school on Thursday, March 9 to lift the community’s spirits up. Finally, the senior fashion show was successful in raising money for Senior Prom on Saturday, March 11.
