Seven Springs Ski Resort provides the ultimate winter experience
December 11, 2019
From the top of the mountain, large groups of skiers hop off the lift and head down the different slopes. Some apprehensively approach the green trails while the daring ones speed down the black diamond trails with sharp turns and snow flying behind them. At the bottom of the slope, a line of ski-schoolers gets ready to go down to the Bunny Slope with a smiling instructor showing them how to point their skis into a “pizza-slice” to slow down.
Seven Springs Resort is the ideal venue to spend the winter vacation. This Pennsylvania resort is just under four hours from JC and features a variety of different activities for the entire family to take part in. From skiing to rollerblading to snow tubing, this resort has it all.
Families are encouraged to stay for multiple days in order to get the whole experience of the resort. Ski level is not a problem at Seven Springs because there are multiple programs to help. There is a child and adult ski/snowboard school as well as personal trainers to teach the basic techniques of skiing to ensure safety on the slopes. Ski/Snowboard school gives the opportunity of meeting other people staying at the resort while becoming a better skier or snowboarder.
Adequately-priced equipment rentals makes it easy to ski whether the skier owns equipment or not. An abundance of workers are at hand and ready to fit skiers for equipment as quickly as possible.
The quality of the slopes depend on the snow yield of the season, but the resort helps ensure covered slopes by creating their own snow to fill in the skim parts. Seven Springs currently has 33 slopes and trails as well as 10 ski lifts to offer its guests. On the open trails, the Ski Patrol is actively doing their job to encourage safe skiing and to offer help when needed if there is an accident. The resort provides four levels of slopes from green to double black diamond to be of service to various ski-levels.
After skiing hours, the resort is still in full motion with activities and things to do. The facility features an arcade fun zone, bowling alley, roller rink, indoor pool and hot tub, and miniature golf. Some activities require a fee for admittance, but the fees are relatively low.
The resort offers multiple forms of dining out of convenience to its residents. There are casual slopeside restaurants for a bite in between slopes and formal places to sit down and enjoy a quality meal or buffet.
Helen’s Restaurant is highly recommended for a formal dinner with the family. Helen’s is known for using local ingredients to create its delicious entrees and desserts.
