Playing varsity basketball as a freshman helps build who you are not only as a player, but as a person as well.

“I feel great that I was given the opportunity to play varsity as a freshman, and I want to make the most of it,” Aidan Able said.

Basketball brings friendships and bonds that will last a lifetime. Aidan commented, “My favorite part of basketball is getting to experience different levels and meet new people to build relationships.”

When Aidan is not in season, he works hard to make himself a better player. “In my off season, I work out and try to work on things that I feel like I didn’t do well in season, or just things I want to do better at.”

No matter what, he is always pushing himself to be the better.

“I don’t really do much outside of basketball because I play a lot between high school and AAU, but I spend a lot of time with my family and friends,” he said.

Aidan pushes himself so that he can achieve his goals during his high school years. He wants to play in college at the D1 level at a school that is a good fit for him.

Aidan talked about where he sees himself next year. “I see myself as a leader for my team and as a better player continuing to work harder.”

Teammate Zach Smith said, “I have seen his progress throughout the season. He is a great basketball player; he is always looking out for his teammates. He is an even better person off the court, and he is always looking to makes someone’s day better.”
