‘The Blind Side’ focuses on poverty to NFL fame

‘The Blind Side’ is a movie directed by John Lee Hancock, starring Quinton Aaron and Sandra Bullock that tells the story of NFL player Michael Oher and his history from going from poverty and homeless shelters to becoming one of the most influential NFL players.

The movie follows the struggles of having a passion for a sport that cannot be pursued because of a lack of a support system, no available education, no home, and no money to pay for lessons or practice.

John Lee Hancock touches on the harsh realities of being poor in the 21st century which can leave the audience feeling shocked and unprepared.

Quinton Aaron plays the role of Michael Oher, and Sandra Bullock plays the role of Leigh Anne Touhy. The pair creates a strong on-screen mother/son connection.

Tim McGraw also plays role of Sean Tuohy who forms a strong connection with Michael unexpectedly as he worries about the responsibility of taking him into his home to help with his financial situation.

Alar Kivilo was in charge of the cinematography of The Blind Side. Some of the most perfectly-executed scenes include the scene when Michael is in the car with Leigh and Sean Junior.

As they are both singing along to music, and everything is going smoothly, the tension builds up, anticipating something bad about to happen to one of them.

The next perfect scene is when Michael plays his first high school football game and pushes a player on the opposing team over the wall. The crowd goes wild for him. After that, there is a scene where Sean is smiling so big at Michael that truly expresses how proud he is of Michael in that moment.

The resolution of The Blind Side is heartwarming because it proves that it is possible to overcome adversity and reach goals.

The movie is a fan favorite with 4.8/5 stars found on HBO Max.

This movie portrays some of the most heartwarming scenes in terms of overcoming poverty and finding a home full of love and support. The movie also touches on what it’s like for dreams to come true. The Blind Side is a 2009 classic that leaves everyone who watches with a good feeling.
