Senior Allie Taylor is a Perspectives Editor for The Patriot and jcpatriot.com. This is her first year as a staff member and her first year taking journalism. She is positively anticipating the aspects of production. Taylor's athletic participation includes varsity field hockey and badminton. Academically, Taylor is a member of the National Honors Society, National Art Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society. A newfound love for different cultures was found during a service trip to the Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservation in Montana with Vice Principal of Academics Gary Scholl. Senior Kyle Baldauf, a member of the Anthropology course, participates in the unique Native American culture by dancing in the Morning Star Powwow on Jan. 14. Cultural experiences like this one should be more frequent within the community in order to create a deeper understanding and acceptance of different lifestyles.
