  • The Spring Literary Tea will be held beginning at 9:10 on Tuesday, April 9.
  • Classes will resume on Monday, April 8
  • The induction for the Quill and Scroll: The National Honorary Society for High School Journalists will take place on Thursday, April 11.

Maddie Root, Editor-in-Chief

Maddie Root is a senior at John Carroll and is the editor-in-chief of The Patriot. This is her fourth year on the staff. In addition to working on the newspaper, Maddie plays soccer and runs track and field for John Carroll. When she's not playing sports or working on the newspaper, she likes to play with her three dogs: Tagg, Oakley, and Nova, read books, and watch movies with her family.
