It’s not an easy task juggling high school, a job, college planning, and being a member of The Patriot. However, Senior Hilary Weidner somehow finds a way to balance her activity-filled life.
Weidner was an Arts and Entertainment Editor on The Patriot. Her decision to pursue writing in high school was not too difficult. “I was approached by Mr. Attanasio freshman year to take journalism. I am so glad that I did. It was an amazing three years. It was a lot of work but very rewarding,” Weidner said.
According to Weidner, her time at JC has been filled with great memories and amazing people. Her favorite memory was her trip to Ireland and Scotland this year. “I went with my two good friends, it was so much fun. I will never forget that trip, it was a trip of a lifetime,” Weidner said.
Weidner works when she has spare time. She is a Customer Service Representative for Harvest Fare, a privately owned supermarket in Fallston. “I really do enjoy working there, because it is locally owned and you really don’t see that too often anymore,” Weidner said.
After graduation Weidner will attend Mount St. Mary’s University to study biology with a focus on pre-med. “I made the decision because I love the campus at the Mount and the classes really appealed to me,” Weidner said.
“I will definitely miss everyone from The Patriot. I have had such a great time working with everyone. The work ethic of the people that work on The Patriot will never cease to amaze me,” Weidner said.
