A robbery occurred at the Greenbrier Walgreens early Wednesday evening, resulting in a deputy chase across the JC campus.
Freshman Shannon Vinton said she saw numerous Sheriff’s vehicles driving onto the campus and Sheriff’s deputies running through the soccer practice field and towards the area behind the track.
Deputy First Class Charles Holthaus of the Harford County Sheriff’s Department said deputies chased the suspect through the Greenbrier Apartments and onto the campus.
The suspect remains at large, and The Sheriff’s Office currently has no leads, according to Holthaus.
Holthaus was unsure of what was stolen but said it was probably something “over the counter.”
Holthaus said deputies will review the store’s security camera footage.
An employee at the Walgreens was aware of the incident, but had no comment. The store’s manager deferred comment to the corporate office.
Walgreens spokeswoman Tiffany Washington was not available for comment.
“The Patriot” will update the story as more information is received.
