As a possibility of rain threatened some evening activities, the seniors gathered under the canopy to wait to board the five buses that would take them to the National Aquarium of Baltimore. Many had come from getting their pictures taken in their formal wear, and other continued to snap photos at JC before heading downtown.
As the buses pulled up to their destination, seniors were greeted by Class Moderators Larry Hensley and Hayley Howe. Students and chaperones had an hour to tour the aquarium. After their tour, the formal part of the prom began as the 230 guests sat down to eat their dinner which included pasta, chicken, and sausage.
The remainder of the time was spent socializing and dancing. Before reboarding the buses, students received their prom favor, a beach scope keychain with the class photo inside. The seniors returned to JC at approximately midnight. Mr. Hensley said that the best part of the night was “celebrating formally one last time with the Senior Class, the students’ amazing formal attire and non-stop dancing all night.”
