The new “LOVE” album by Angels & Airwaves was released on Valentine’s Day.
I have never been so excited for an album release and in no way did it let me down.
It is incredible, inspiring, and surprisingly artistic (I use the word “surprisingly” because the music most people listen to today is not artistic at all; it’s just a bunch of nonsense with sound).
Angels & Airwaves immediately became my favorite band after I first listened to them. Their music moves, touches, and speaks to me in ways I’ve never thought music could.
The lead singer of Angels & Airwaves, Tom Delonge, has made a goal for himself to change the music industry. Delonge is also involved with the band Blink 182 and sings multiple songs for them as well.
The band Angels and Airwaves stand for a change, a change in the way people view music now. In an interview, Delonge said, “I want to change how music is made, I want to change how music is marketed, I want to change how music is delivered, and I’m going to do it.”
What makes Angels & Airwaves so unique is their sound and lyrics. Many of their songs have a celestial, space, rock sound that sets them apart from many other bands. In their first album, “We don’t need to whisper”, Delonge was inspired by the happenings of World War II and wrote most of his songs with this inspiration. He continues to write songs in his new album, “LOVE”, that speak to the listeners with a message of hope, dreams, and love.
I believe that with the three records they have already created and the records that are still to come, Angels & Airwaves can and will change the music industry forever.
While many other bands are also attempting to do this, Angels and Airwaves stands out to me. Their new album is breathtaking and worth the listen. You will not be disappointed once you begin to listen to this fantastic piece of artwork. Instead, you will be finding yourself wanting more and more.
One of my favorite songs on the album is “The Flight of Apollo.” This song talks about how life should be cherished and loved and not looked down upon or feared. With a different kind of tone and melody, this song was put together beautifully.
I am not going to spoil the rest of the album for you– you’re going to have to listen to it and see for yourself.
Angels & Airwaves decided to give away LOVE for free and it is available to download on their official website, modlife.com/angelsandairwaves.
