As Marc Cherry and ABC decided yet again to have a rerun on instead of a new episode of “Desperate Housewives,” we decided to choose the five best and worst moments and the top five quotes from the season so far.
The five best quotes thus far:
- “I’ll tell you one thing, she can’t bring any more crazy to this street than I did.” Katherine
With the exception of Dave last season, Katherine is the most insane Wisteria Lane resident of all time. Although she didn’t try to kill the entire Delfino family à la Dave, she did try to tear them apart. On a side note, why have all the crazy people been going after the Delfinos the past two seasons? Can’t Cherry just leave them alone? - “After this happened, now I realized the worse thing I could lose is her.” Roy
Yeah, we’re not going to lie: we teared up. But we couldn’t help it because it was so precious! After Roy creeped on Susan (and a woman in his yoga class), he recognized how perfectly content he is with Karen. We’re just so glad that the old couple finally found love together. - “So, while you’re doing porn, he can make the dialogue rhyme.” Angie
Angie was cynical toward Ana and Danny’s relationship, and she pretty much laughed right in Ana’s face when Ana mentioned that she wanted to be a model and Danny wanted to write poetry. We have to agree with her—if our kids came to us wanting to model in New York or write poetry for a living, we’d shut that down pretty quickly. Oh well, maybe Danny and Ana have a future together in the industry. They could be quite the power couple. - “If we downed a shot every time we read the word ‘Lynette,’ I bet we’d be hammered by page two.” Lynette
We consider anything involving the feelings journal to be a success. We can only imagine what Tom’s feelings journal said which is probably something obnoxiously whiny about how much he hates his dull life. We just never thought Desperate Housewives would include a drinking game. - “Can I borrow your Mace? My tax dollars pay for it; I should be able to use it! How about a Taser; you guys must carry a Taser! You know why kids are like this now because you don’t let us hit them!” Gaby.
This pretty much this sums up Gaby’s ideas about parenting and raising a teenager. Honestly, if we were in charge of Ana, we would probably say the exact same thing. Maybe it’s the only way to discipline Ana, as obviously everything else Gaby has tried failed this season.
The five best moments thus far:
- Bob and Lee’s feelings journal
Hands down, this was one of the best moments of the season. Okay, so we might be a little biased because the feelings journal belongs to our favorite characters Bob and Lee. Besides, we actually created our own journals, it’s really helped us to get our emotions out! Desperate Housewives is looking out for its fans. - Katherine’s mental breakdown
We’ve said all along that she’s crazy! She finally got her padded room, even if she was only missing for a few episodes. - Juanita’s birthday party
It was the type of party that only Gaby could plan— we honestly wished our childhood birthdays had been similar! We also learned that monkeys apparently go insane and attack clowns when they’re tired. It was hilarious to see a storm of children running away from the crazy animal. Plus, we don’t like clowns, so it was even better. However, the best part was at the end of the episode, when Gaby’s negligence proved successful as her children found creative ways to save themselves from the rampaging monkey. Juanita zipped herself up in the moon bounce and Cecilia played dead. - Mike threatening Katherine
Sure, Susan claims that Mike is a “sensitive” man. We doubt that statement after he gets up in Katherine’s face about trying to manipulate MJ. Someone had to put Katherine in her place, and Mike’s love for his family won out over his usually good-natured attitude. - T-Scav
For once, Tom acted like a man. Immature, sure, but manly nonetheless. We laughedas he attempted to relive the good old days with his new college friends. Lynette’s always bossing him around, so we were proud to see T-Scav finally step up and live a little on his own.
The five worst moments thus far:
- Robin and Katherine’s relationship
Awkward, and completely uncalled for. Cherry, we don’t appreciate that we have to close our eyes during our favorite TV show because of this scandalously gross relationship. Really, we felt nauseous. At least they’re planning on going to Paris, so maybe we’ll never have to see them again. We can only dream. - The Susan-Gaby war over their children
Seriously, grow up and let your kids become friends. This on-again, off-again battle was over before it started. The chocolate war in episode 18 was especially pathetic. Get a more exciting storyline, please. - Karl’s death
It was untimely because we were really starting to love his relationship with Bree. She was beginning to change him from a regular attendee of Sex Addicts Anonymous meetings to a respectable member of the community. Well, minus the whole owning a gentlemen’s club thing. They were so cute together, but now he’s dead, and Bree has to deal with the pessimistic Orson. And yeah, we get that he’s her husband, but he is so ungrateful! - The entire “what-if” episode
There was absolutely no plot advancement whatsoever in the episode. No exciting plot twists or cliffhangers. We were so bored during this episode and it felt like a complete waste of time, especially Susan and Gaby’s storylines. - Ana’s self-centeredness
Sometimes we really wish that Ana would just go away. From hitting on John to never appreciating all that Carlos and Gaby did for her, we really despised her, to put it bluntly.
