Diddy finally got his Dirty Money together.
Dirty Money is Diddy’s group which just released its first album “Last Train to Paris” Dec. 14.
“Yeah Yeah You Would” features Grace Jones. The song has a fresh techno beat, but the praise stops there. The song’s lyrics pretty much repeat the title of the song throughout. It gets obnoxious and annoying.
“Your Love” features Trey Songz. This song has a good rhythm, but there are only so many times you can use a vulgar and disgusting word before it loses its effect, and this song has reached that limit.
“Strobe Lights” features Lil Wayne. I just want to comment that I’m happy he’s back. Since Wayne is in this song, I’ll just guess that it hits number one on the charts, especially because his part is so amazing.
”Strobe Lights” continues the futuristic techno beat of the album. The song is all about how his heart is closed after so much pain and suffering. With lyrics like “love creates wars, I got wounds and scars,” anyone can understand what he means.
“Looking for Love” features Usher. Even though I lost respect and love for Usher after he lip-synced at the VMAs and his record company signed Justin Beiber, this song redeems him a bit.
“I Know” features Chris Brown, another artist I lost respect for, but I guess we all have to move on. This song is so whiny. It’s all about how they wish they could go back and change things and how they could have done better.
The whole whiny, wanting to change your life thing has gotten way too old. The lyrics are so overdone. These songs all have lines like, “I wish we could go back/Go back a couple of chapters/Back when there was laughter/Back when we first met/Before we came such a disaster/Before your heart got sharper/Before I forgot how much you meant.”
It’s a good thing that Diddy got T.I. for this album. “Hello Good Morning” features T.I. and Rick Ross. This song is the best on the whole album.
The beat of “Hello Good Morning” is fantastic and perfect. Diddy and Ross pair the beat with good lyrics and a great rap by T.I.
The last song on the album, “Coming Home,” is definitely a favorite off of the album. It’s slow at first but then quickly picks up. “Coming Home” has amazing lyrics that question decisions made in life.
“Last Train to Paris” is a fine album, and I recommend any Diddy fan go out and buy it.
