Taylor Swift: 1989

Rating: 2.5/5

Taylor Swift released her new album “1989” on Oct. 27 and it has been at the top of the pop  charts since. My initial reaction to this album was “Woah! People are finally admitting Taylor Swift isn’t a country artist anymore?”

Don’t get me wrong, Swift is a talented artist, but almost every song on this album had something (sometimes literally) screeching at me about how wrong it was. If I liked the vocals, the music sounded like someone shoved a microphone in his/her bowels and recorded their activity throughout the day. If I liked the music, I wouldn’t get to enjoy it because Swift’s “enchanting” voice hypnotized me into hitting the mute button after I heard enough of the song to make fun of it.

I’ve picked out the five worst songs and the three best songs off the album, since I couldn’t find any more songs that I liked.
