The Recording Academy will be presenting the annual Grammy Awards for the 64th time.

The Grammy Awards will return with live performances and new categories following COVID-19.
On April 3, 2022, at 8 pm, the 64th Annual Grammy Awards will be broadcast and streamed internationally from the MGM Grand Arena in Los Vegas, Nevada.
The show was originally planned to be held in late January but was postponed due to concerns surrounding the Omicron variant.
Despite this, the Grammys will return with a much more familiar setup and host a live audience and performances unlike last year’s low-profile event due to COVID safety protocols.
The Awards will include a total of 88 categories in which artists can be nominated, adding Best Global Music Performance and Best Música Urbana to the list. Moreover, the most anticipated categories remain Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best New Artist.
Together, these categories are dubbed the “Big Four” by the Recording Academy.
Some of the most popular artists across the globe are nominated for at least one of the main four categories, including Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Lil Nas X, Doja Cat, Kanye West, and Olivia Rodrigo.
The winners of these categories will be announced in between performances from some of the artists nominated in major categories and monologues from second-time host Trevor Noah, who first hosted at last year’s ceremony.
It is certain to say that all eyes will be on 19-year-old Olivia Rodrigo, who shattered chart and streaming records with her debut single “Driver’s License” and following it with her debut album Sour. Rodrigo has a total of seven nominations for her first-ever Grammys and is up for all the categories in the Big Four, the second youngest artist to do so.
Singer-songwriter Taylor Swift is also nominated for the second year in a row for her ninth studio album Evermore.
Album of the Year is the only category Swift is a contender for this year, but she will keep her achievement as the only female artist to win the award three times since all other nominees have one or less wins in the section.
The most nominated artist for the 64th Grammys is Jon Batiste, with a total of 11 nominations relating to his eight-studio album We Are.
Monumental performances and moments can be expected from The 64th annual Grammy Awards, which can be watched on CBS or streamed on Paramount +.
