‘Mean Girls’ is still a teenage phenomenon for young viewers

Film Review

Mean Girls hit theaters with a bang on April 30, 2004, rising to number one at the American Box Office.

The movie begins by introducing the main character, Cady Heron. Cady, played by Lindsay Lohan, is from Africa and moves to Illinois to have her first day at North Shore High School, where she meets Regina George, Karen Smith, Gretchen Wieners, Janis Ian, Aaron Samuels, and Damian.

Mean Girls shows a lot of cliquey high school drama, and has viewers on the edge of their seats, making them laugh like crazy. It mixes the perfect amount of drama and laughter. There are many conflicts that are presented in this movie, and yet all of them make the viewer wonder what’s going to happen next.

This movie got many people’s attention when it first came out.

At first sight, this looks like a girly movie, but it took hearts all around America with the story.

The character Aaron Samuels takes many female viewers’ hearts, being a charming guy with a smile girls couldn’t resist. He catches everyone’s eyes when they first see him, and they knew he was going to be a fan favorite.

Some of the negatives about the movie are that it could have been more of a regular movie, and less of a chick-flick. Directors could have made it so male viewers could get more into it and would not think it’s a girly movie. While making a lot of money in the first showing, Mean Girls still has a lot more to come, being one of the best movies for American Box Office.
This movie will make viewers wonder what is going to come next, and if there will be another film made.

Go check out Mean Girls today on Netflix, Apple TV, and Amazon Prime Video. You can’t miss this opportunity to watch it.
