My Girl, according to Wikipedia is a ‘1991 American coming of age comedy-drama film’ that was directed by Howard Zieff, written by Laurica Elehwany, and starring Dan Aykroyd and Jamie Lee Curtis.

The film unravels the story of an eleven-year-old girl named Vada Sultenfuss, played by Anna Maria Chlumsky. Vada is portrayed as a smart, bubbly girl who lives with her grandmother and father in Madison, Pennsylvania.

This is a tear-jerker, not only showing the adventurous part of her life, but it also the struggles this eleven-year-old girl goes through. In addition, this movie is appealing, but it doesn’t quite fit in the comedy section as much as it fits in the drama section.

The movie feels incomplete and almost like there’s no complete story line to this movie. It jumps around a lot from one event to another, leaving the viewer confused on what’s happening throughout the movie.

I’ve found that the movie becomes very dull and repetitive. The most interesting part out of the movie occurs towards the end when something happens so someone special to Vada . For the most part, I do not recommend the movie due to it being boring and having an incomplete storyline.
