The classic Starbucks holiday drinks are back

Say goodbye to pumpkin and hello to peppermint

The holiday spirit is back at Starbucks with the variety of Christmas lattes, cold brews, and mochas for everyone to enjoy. These limited-edition flavors are highly anticipated all throughout the year by Starbucks customers.

The starting lineup begins with the Peppermint Mocha: an espresso with steamed milk, peppermint syrup, and mocha sauce that gets topped with whipped cream and dark chocolate curls. This drink is a front-runner because out of the six, it is timeless, and it comes back every year for customers to get a taste of the holidays.

Next on the roster is the Caramel Brulée Latte, which is perfect for the coffee drinkers who think it’s too early in the season for Christmas drinks but still want to be involved.

It’s an espresso with steamed milk, caramel brulée sauce, and whipped cream. This is the perfect transition drink between the fall pumpkin to holiday peppermint.

The Chestnut Praline Latte might be the teammate you forget is on the field, but the team wouldn’t be the same without them. Its cozy and sweet flavors with the caramelized chestnut and spiced praline make it more of a cheerleader than an MVP.

It’s an espresso with steamed milk and chestnut flavoring that gets topped with whipped cream and spiced praline crumbs.

This rookie’s standout first season created fans all over the country with its twist on a holiday classic: the Iced Sugar Cookie Almond Milk Latte. It’s a blonde espresso with sugar cookie flavoring and almond milk, topped with green and red sprinkles. As far as Christmas classics go, this could be a top drink of the season.

This rookie wouldn’t be my first-round draft pick, but you can’t forget about the Irish Cream Cold Brew. Although it doesn’t scream “Holiday,” it is great for those strong coffee drinkers because they deserve to get into the holiday spirit, too. It is a classic cold brew with Irish cream syrup, sweet cream cold foam, and some cocoa powder.

Finishing off the lineup is the Toasted White Chocolate Mocha. Although it isn’t very different from the regular Toasted White Chocolate Mocha, by adding the red sugar sparkles and white pearls, it gets you in the Christmas mood. It’s an espresso with steamed milk, white chocolate flavoring and whipped cream.

You really can’t go wrong with this group of drinks. They cover all the bases for the coffee drinkers of the world who are craving some holiday spirit.

If I had to hand out an MVP of the season, it would have to be the Iced Sugar Cookie Almond Milk Latte. This drink has an elevated holiday flavor, and I love to add sweet cream cold foam on top. That combination is perfect for the holiday season.
