Valentine’s Day is celebrated throughout the world. Many people spend the day with their significant others, friends, and families.

Throughout the day, many people are presented with flowers, chocolates, jewelry, and cards, but once the day begins to come to an end, it’s good to finish it with a romantic movie. These movies can be found streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, and Apple TV.

All of these streaming platforms have a wide selection of movies to pick from when it comes to finding the most romantic movie or a movie to watch with friends. These can range from romantic comedies to dramas, to some classics.

This list starts off with a modern classic: Crazy, Stupid, Love. Initially released on July 19, 2011, this movie follows central character Cal Weaver, played by Steve Carell.

Cal is the all-American man. He has his dream job, house, and family, but he learns that his wife Emily, played by Julianne Moore, has been unfaithful to him. He is suddenly single at 40-years-old, and has lost his touch of finding love. Cal soon meets Jacob Palmer, portrayed by Ryan Gosling, who teaches him the ways of finding a new love.

Crazy, Stupid, Love without a doubt will make you laugh and keep you watching.

Your Place or Mine, starring Reese Witherspoon and Ashton Kutcher was released this past Friday on Netflix.

The plot focuses on best friends Debbie (Witherspoon), an overprotective single mother and accountant and Peter (Kutcher), a single man who is a successful businessman.

Debbie and her son live in Los Angeles while Peter lives in New York. They switch homes for the week, so Peter can watch Debbie’s son and so that Debbie can complete a course which will assist her in getting a better job.

While the ending is predictable as this is a rom-com, the chemistry between the two main characters is evident. The relationship between Peter and Debbie’s son Jack is also a nice feature. Through the home switch, the best friends learn a lot about each other.

Love Hard is a rom-com that was released in the fall of 2021. This movie focuses on the journey of Nina, played by Nina Dobrev as she meets a guy on a dating app.

Traveling to his hometown for Christmas to surprise him, Nina soon discovers that she got catfished. Nina spends the rest of the movie trying to find out who she really wants in the end.

This movie will make you laugh and includes the best romantic touch in the end.

The movie Loving is a romantic drama that was released on November 4, 2016. Based on a true story about Richard and Mildred Loving who are a white man and a black woman, the couple lives in 1957 Virginia and get married.

At that time, interracial marriage is illegal and is deemed a criminal offense. Mr. and Mrs. Loving fight for their right for marriage and refuse to let Virgina arrest them for their relationship.

Going on the adventure with Mr. and Mrs. Loving will bring tears and suspense to know what happens to their forbidden love.

Holidate is a 2020 release about two single people. Sloane, played by Emma Roberts, and Jackson, played by Luke Bracey, find themselves fed up with their families always asking about their relationship status. They come to an agreement to be each other’s plus-ones to bring home to their families.

This soon takes a turn when they start to develop feelings for each other. This movie won’t disappoint and will bring lots of laughter, but it also includes a romantic feeling at the end.
