‘Stranger Things’ is a Netflix original show created by the Duffer Brothers. The show includes a variety of genres including drama, fantasy, and mystery.
It was first released in 2016 and is coming up on its final season, coming out in fall of 2025.
Stranger Things takes place in a small town called Hawkins. The plot is based on the five main characters, Will Byers, Dustin Henderson, Lucas Sinclair, Mike Wheeler, and Eleven.
In Season One, a character who plays a huge role in the shows plot is introduced: Eleven. She is what Stranger Things surrounds itself around. She demonstrates resilience and confidence throughout the show which is good for younger viewers to see.
In Season Two, a new character is introduced to the series that has the same as powers as Eleven. There are two more characters who will play big roles in Seasons Three and Four named Max and Billy.
Max becomes friends with the boys Mike, Dustin, Lucas, and Will. In Season Two, Will is having flashbacks to when he was in the Upside Down. He sees the mind Flayer. He must go to the doctor for these, and Hawkins’ lab has an entirely new staff.
There are also things called the demo dogs that get out and try to hurt Hawkins.
In Season Three, it’s summertime; the friend group has stayed together, but we see Lucas and Max are a couple along with Mike and Eleven.
We meet a new member from Russia named Alexi. In season three everyone spends a lot of time doing research about the Hawkins lab and this “spider monster” that’s been getting around. Hopper ends up fighting a lot of the Russians.
In the last episode of Season Three, viewers see Billy, Max’s brother put up a huge fight to the mind flayer, or spider monster.
In Season Four, viewers see Eleven has moved to California. This is to get away from all her past. Hopper is imprisoned in a Russian gang, and Joyce and Murray embark on a mission to save him.
There is a powerful monster from the upside-down named Venka. Dr. Brenner dies, and this is a huge implement to Eleven’s past.
In the last episode they fight Venka and Max is very injured, and Hawkins is left in chaos.
