International Parent Weekend, which will be on Jan. 5 and 6, is an opportunity for the parents of JC International students to come visit their children and see what their lives in America are like.

According to Sandi Seiler,¬†Coordinator of International Student Programs and World Languages teacher, “the goal of the event is to give international parents an opportunity to visit campus and experience the JC community on a personal level.”

The weekend has been postponed until January because many students’ parents could not make the trip for the weekend of Nov. 15.

“The first reason [that my parents couldn’t make it] is that it is kind of late. My parents only got the information two months ago, and it takes like half a year to process travel documents,” senior William Du, a Chinese international student, said.
