Hidden advisory door shines with their decorations of a ski lodge

Mrs. Angela Ward’s advisory decorated their “hidden” door despite construction.

At first, the advisory struggled with the decision to participate in the door decorating. Ultimately, they decided to participate as “the students that have classes in the new classrooms could at least see it,” said Mrs. Ward.

She added, “Each year we like to make some type of building. This year we decided to go with a ski theme (The John Carroll Mountain Resort).”

Even though the advisory did not have an actual door to decorate, they instead decorated a door that was inside the classroom. Additionally, they embellished the walls of the classroom with ski resort decorations.

Mrs. Ward printed flyers and distributed them to clarify that the display was not in its usual location in hopes that more students would come to see the display.

Although the display was “hidden,” their efforts paid off. The Ski Mountain Resort received a place in the top six in the annual door decorating contest.
