Class of ‘24 prepares to say goodbye

The Class of 2024 will become JC alumni in less than two months; they will continue their future as individuals.
As in previous years, the Senior Prom will be hosted at the National Aquarium on May 18. Coach buses will provide transportation from JC both to and from the prom.
Senior Zaida Annan commented, “I’ve found my dress and plan on ordering it soon. I am also figuring out what hairstyle I want to wear, what nails I want, and what accessories I will wear with my dress. Once my whole look has come together, I’m most excited to finally wear my prom dress and to have a fun night I’ll remember forever.”
The week after the dance, on Saturday, May 25, graduation, the significant milestone marking the successful completion of high school, takes place at 10:00 a.m. in the APGFCU Arena at Harford Community College.
Prior to graduation, on May 22, there will be a Senior Awards Ceremony and graduation rehearsal in the Upper Gym from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The day after that, on May 23, the seniors will attend and participate in the Baccalaureate Mass & Senior Sunset Social.
The seniors are expected to wear gowns and appropriate attire underneath gowns. In inclement weather, the service will be held inside the building.
Senior Emily Fabriziani said, “Graduation is going to be fun and exciting but also sad at the same time. When I graduate, I will reflect on everything I have done at John Carroll and all my accomplishments.”
Emily added, “I will start thinking about my future with college, making new friends, and experiencing many new things. Overall, it will be the start of a new chapter in my life, and I will be making new friends and experiencing lots of new things.”
