JC community hosts Purple Friday to celebrate Ravens

The Patriots were excited about the Ravens and their run to the AFC Championship game.
The week prior, students missed the first scheduled Purple Friday Ravens celebration due to snow. On Friday, January 29, Patriots celebrated the Ravens in a variety of fun ways throughout the day.
Students were able to have a partial dress-down day and could participate by wearing their best Baltimore Ravens jerseys, shirts, or sweatshirts. Also, students could have their best purple accessories to celebrate.
In the morning, students were welcomed by members of the SGA and the Patriot mascot as they passed out purple candies to kick off Purple Friday.
During the day, students and staff had the opportunity for more Ravens fun during the lunch mods.
The activities for all to enjoy included a photo with the Patriot mascot in his Ravens gear in front of a football backdrop, as well as a game of guessing how many purple Hershey kisses were in the bowl.
Nine students who guessed the closest to the number of Hershey Kisses correctly received a $10 Amazon gift card. Out of many guesses, only one person guessed the exact number of 409 while two students were within one number.
Patriots were disappointed with the loss against the Kansas City Chiefs the following Sunday. Even though the Ravens lost, many of the Patriots enjoyed being able to celebrate the Baltimore Ravens.
