The Class of 2024 now proudly wears their JC rings.

Ring celebrations began on Thursday, March 16 with a morning rehearsal, a class breakfast, and the wearing of their blue class shirts.

In the evening, the Ring Mass was celebrated with a reception following. Before Mass began, the members of the class gathered in the Student-Services Wing to line up and get directions.

After the ladies received a flower, and the men received a boutonniere, the students were placed in alphabetical order and processed into the gym.

After Mass itself, the rings were blessed. Assistant Principal Jake Hollin shared the “Ring Story” in addition to a few remarks.

172 juniors then walked across the stage and received their rings from Assistant Principal Danica Attanasio and Principal Carl Patton.

Cara DiMino said, “I was so excited to receive my ring. It’s classy, and I am so glad to finally have one.”

Laura DeJesus-Acosta and Annie Wille presented a bouquet of flowers and a ring to the family of classmate Madison Brookshire to honor her memory. Maddie passed away in fall of their freshman year.

To conclude the ring festivities, the juniors and their dates attended the annual Ring Dance at Water’s Edge Events Center in Belcamp on Saturday, March 18.

Kaitlyn Klara said, “I really enjoyed the food. It was probably my favorite thing about the dance.”

Anna Westervelt said, “I thought the dance was really fun. I had fun with my friends and it was a pretty venue.”
